As usual, it’s BYOB and BYOS (bring your own beverage & snacks)
though sweet & salty treats will be provided
We tend to hang out with the same people that we miss opportunities to make new friends. A Social Club Mix & Mingle is the perfect opportunity to start a conversation with someone you don’t know and maybe make a few friends along the way!
You start off at at your own table with your own group. In 10-15 minutes, everyone discusses or answers various topics on a set of cards. Each card has a question that starts a conversation, and each person in the group has a chance to answer.
Some examples of questions include:
- What is now considered classy, but used to be very trashy?
- If you could go back in time to your 21-year-old self, what advice would you give your 21-year-old self?
- Real talk: Is a hot dog a sandwich?
- What was your favorite thing to do as a child that you would love to still be able to do as an adult?
- How did you meet your best friend?
- What is your hidden talent?
- What is a food combination people eat that you just can’t get behind? (For example, dipping french fries in Frosties.)
- What is something you’ve tried but would never do again?
- What’s your best “my family is crazy” story?
When time is up, you’ll have 5 minutes to change tables — different table, different people, different questions!
Keep going until everyone has had a chance to sit at a few different tables with a few different people.
The last move will put you back at your original table with your original group.
You may leave your BYOB beverage at your original table and re-fill during table changes. Sweet & Salty snacks provided by Social Club, but you’re welcome to bring your own.
