MUSIC IN THE PARK is a series of free, outdoor concerts performed by Sun City residents who have volunteered to share their love of music with you. No tickets or reservations are required. Tell your friends and neighbors and help spread the word.

Band of Gold is made up of six retirees who stay young by sharing their love of music. Their repertoire covers everyone from the Shirelles to Santana. They’ve played for numerous SCS clubs, as well as several sold-out Summit Happy Hours. All members have sung or played in bands most of their lives, several professionally. Their diverse geographic roots produce a variety of influences.

Band leader Steve Yohay (NY-keyboard & vocals) is joined by Melanie Spector (Chicago-vocals & rhythm guitar); Jo Mariani TX-vocals); Roger Alberts (AZ-percussion); Steve Lastra (NY-bass guitar & vocals); and Andy Schatz (CA-lead guitar and vocals)

Bring lawn chairs and snacks (No alcohol allowed)  We hope only the music will be hot!

The Sun City Neighborhood Preparedness Team invites us all to celebrate National Preparedness Month with a fun, outdoor party that will feature Food Trucks, Cash Bars, DJ, Dancing, Raffle Prizes, Corn Hole Tournament and MORE!

FREE Admission, No Ticket Required.  Don’t forget your lawn chair.

This month’s beer tasting event will be at a private residence so space will be limited to the wishes of our hosts. There may be a waiting list based on how many people our hosts feel comfortable with. You will get host’s name and address when you get a confirmation to your RSVP. We look forward to a great time by all!

Since this is Octoberfest time of year we will be tasting your favorite German or European beer. Leave the Bud in your fridge, but please do bring a six pack of your favorite German or European beer and a tasty appetizer to share.
